Your kid has an allergy … or more allergies. It is not the end of the world! There are ways to navigate safely in the world of allergies and we are here to assist you.
What to keep in mind?
Make sure everyone who takes care of your child is aware of his/her allergies. They must be advised of what the signs of the allergic reactions are, how to handle them and who to contact in case of emergency.
If your child has prescription medication make sure all carers know how to administer it. We strongly suggest your child carries a Food Allergy Action Plan with them and wearing an allergy wristband can also help.
Download and fill in our Babysitter Form for Allergies when you leave your child with a sitter.
Avoid the allergens
Best to stay away from what your child reacts to! Teach them from early on what foods they should avoid!
Always read the labels!
Don't share your food!
If you are unsure about the safety of a food CHECK with an adult first!
Once your child is old enough teach them about their emergency medication and when/how to use them if it is prescribed to them.
